Search Resources in a Contact

Permissions

To Search and Refer Resources in a Contact in CS Contact, CareSuite users require a CS Contact role that has the "Manage Contact" permission

Type a keyword into the Search Box, and CS Contact will search for matching Resources.

Keyword Search searches 4 fields:

  • Agency (Name and Alias)

  • Site (Name and Alias)

  • Service Name

  • Service Description

Exact matches are not required.

  • To Search, click "Enter keyword" and type a keyword in the Search bar

    • Matching Resources with that keyword in the Agency Name, Site Name, Service Name, and/or Service Description will display underneath

  • Click the "All" dropdown, and select a specific field to specify which field the keyword should appear in

Filters

Additional Search and Filter options to further narrow down the results list.

There are 8 fields available for use as a Search Filter:

  • Agency (Name and Alias)

  • Site (Name and Alias)

  • Service Need

  • Language

  • Taxonomy Term

  • Target Term

  • Service Area Zip Code

  • Near this Address

Multiple Filters can be used at once. Filters can be combined with Keyword Search

  • Agency (Name and Alias)

    • Type an Agency Name into the box

    • Click the Apostrophe to turn on Exact Match. When the Apostrophe is Blue, Exact Match is on. Click on it again to turn it off.

      • When Exact Match is on, the word(s) entered in the Agency box must appear in that exact order in the Agency Name of the Resource. If there's an extra space or a slight mispelling in the Agency Name of a Resource from the entered word(s), the Resource will not return

      • Warning: Turning Exact Match on/off will reset Search/Filter options

  • Site (Name and Alias)

    • Type a Site Name into the box

    • Click the Apostrophe to turn on Exact Match. When the Apostrophe is Blue, Exact Match is on. Click on it again to turn it off.

      • When Exact Match is on, the word(s) entered in the Site box must appear in that exact order in the Site Name of the Resource. If there's an extra space or a slight mispelling in the Site Name of a Resource from the entered word(s), the Resource will not return

      • Warning: Turning Exact Match on/off will reset Search/Filter options

  • Service Need

    • Click on the dropdown or start typing the name of a Service Need into the box

    • Click on one to search for Resources with the Service Need

    • Use the "X" on the right hand side of the box to clear the field

    • To configure Service Need Options, see Primary and Second Needs / Service Needs

  • Language

    • Click on the dropdown or start typing the name of a Language into the box

    • Click on one to search for Resources with the Language

    • Use the "X" next to a Language selection to remove that option, or se the "X" on the right hand side of the box to clear the field

  • Taxonomy Term

    • Start typing the name of a Taxonomy Term into the box

    • Matching Taxonomy Terms will appear

    • Click on one or many to search for Resources indexed to the Taxonomy Term(s)

    • Only Taxonomy Terms currently indexed to a Resource appear as Options

    • Use the "X" next to a Taxonomy Term selection to remove that option, or se the "X" on the right hand side of the box to clear the field

  • Target Term

    • Start typing the name of a Target Term into the box

    • Matching Target Terms will appear

    • Click on one or many to search for Resources with the Target Term(s)

    • Only Target Terms currently tagged on a Resource appear as Options

    • Use the "X" next to a Target Term selection to remove that option, or se the "X" on the right hand side of the box to clear the field

  • Service Area Zip Code / Postal Code

    • Enter a Zip Code / Postal Code into the box to limit results to those serving the entered Zip Code / Postal Code

  • Near this Address

    • Start typing a Street Address or a Zip Code / Postal Code into the box

    • Select a matching Address to search for results close to the Address

    • Click "Contact's Zip Code" / "Contact's Postal Code" as a shortcut to fill this field with the Zip Code / Postal Code entered on the Profile associated with this Contact

    • When this field is used, the results list is ordered by distance from the Address to the Location, Closest First

Map

View the Locations of the Resource results on the Page on a Map

  • Click "Show Map" to open the Map, and "Hide Map" to close it

  • Click and drag to move the Map around

  • Scroll to Zoom In and Zoom Out

  • Click on a Red Location Pin to learn more about the Resource(s) at that location

    • If there is only 1 matching Resource at that location, the Resource popup will appear

    • If there are multiple matching Resources at that location, the results list will scroll until they are found on the Page, and the Resources will flash yellow in the results list

Search Results List

View the Resources that match the current Search.

3 key fields are displayed in the Results List:

  1. Service Name

  2. Site Name

  3. Target Terms (if applicable)

  • To Browse matching results, scroll up and down the results list. Results are ordered by "Best Match". If the "Near this Address" filter is used, then Results are ordered by "Closest First"

  • Use the Page Numbers and the Next/Back options to navigate between Search Result Pages
